I have released an Open Source (GPL3) tool that runs on Linux to help find, categorise, tag .blend files on your PC.
I have been using Blender for over 15 years and have over 3000 .blend files to search through. I needed a tool to find old projects quickly. I could not see anything that matched what I wanted so I made this:
The killer feature I wanted was for the program to create video thumbnails turn-tabling the 5 largest objects in the file. The animation runs when you hover the mouse over the item.
I have over 3000 blends to search through so this was really helpful.
Not trying to sell anything, just genuinely hoping this helps others like it has been helpful to me.
