A new BURP service open for an invitational beta phase

Greetings all,

I would like to announce that our new Renderfarm.fi (http://www.renderfarm.fi) service has moved to an invitational beta phase. We are looking for creative individuals interested in the possibilities of using distributed rendering for their computational needs. Please check out the anonymous side of the site (not that much content currently) and feel free to send me private message on this forum or mail to hazen@renderfarm.fi if you would like to participate in testing the service. We need both - people willing to give their computational resources and people wanting to use the site’s rendering services.

If people wonder about how cool this project is - I’m also participating in it as a developer.

Soon I’ll have a first usable uploader (and RAM usage guestimator) script ready to make submitting sessions to the server easier.

Cool stuff guys! This has the potential to be huge! Now I just need to make some awesome animations to use the worlds computing power on!

This looks fantastic.

But, if I remember correctly, the original BURP had some bullshit clause where they wouldn’t allow renders intended for commercial use. Is this true for ORE as well?

EDIT: According to the Rules and Policies, it doesn’t seem to be. Awesome.
