who would be interested in this?:
i choose a frame from a feature film such as shrek or up, then everyone treats it as if it were my image and they critique it. this would also help to see how big producers do things.

Yeah, that sounds like it could potentially help a lot of people actually. It would also open us up to remember that not all compositions are good, even in professional work.
When I saw the thread title I thought you were thinking of buying a new computer game and I was going to recommend Machinarium. As it turns out that’s not what it’s about, but I’m going to recommend Machinarium anyway, what the heck.
I totally agree with PlantPerson, you definitively should get Machinarium, such a nice game. Oh, and the idea about analyzing professional 3d work sounds good as well

I have never heard of Machinarium, but now I can’t get it out of my head, I guess I’ll look into it to see what thats all about.
