A pair of "ghost" faces has appeared.

Hey guys.
I’m new to this forum, but I have been doing blender in a year or so.
But a few days ago I encountered a problem that I can’t find a fix to.

As seen in edit mode:

But the weird flat tail end in object mode looks like:

It just fills a depth and mass, and it is how I want it to be. But I cant sculpt it, and if i try to delete the Vertices:

It just leaves a freaking hole.
I’m truly sorry if this is an obvious thing and i am just not smart enough to realize. But I cant, for the life of me, figure out what is wrong.

Without the blend it’s hard to know. Based on the first two screenshots I’d say you have a bunch of verts/faces that are hidden in edit mode. To show them, go into edit mode and hit alt h (together)

Sorry I didn’t know about the whole thing about post needing to go through administration, I was planning to put the blend file in the post
