I just post a short trailer that I’ve made for a friend. His papertoys has inspired me so I decided to bring one of them to life. I may become a longer film, for some other project, but for now, it’s just for fun.
So enjoy an feel free to say what you think about this.
(don’t hesitate to make critics about the modeling for example, in which I suck seriously !)
Music isn’t my cup of tea, however the rendering style is really interesting! Hard to comment on the camera movement, it feels like a choice of style and personal preference than something I would give C&C on. Overall really nice work.

Very Attractive rendering, colors and compositing! However, its pretty repetitive and the camerawork is pretty odd.
5 stars. Reminds me a little of Gorillaz in style and music. No reason why you couldn’t do big time commercial stuff.

Regarding to the camera work, I was trying to get a free handeld camera movement, and a shaky one ! So, it’s intertersting if some of you find it to weird or shaky.
I have no problem with the handheld feel. I don’t know if it’s the zoomed in feel or the camera having exaggerated movement to match the music, I guess I just want to have a chance to see the character more clearly. It’s just a matter of taste so no need to change anything.
Really cool style - but like DennyLindberg, I thought the MTV-style camera moves were too much. Maybe just one medium shot would’ve sufficed, with just a subtle hand-held motion.
