A question about fluid simulation

Ok. I just learned how to use the fluid simulation last week, managed to make an animation of a drop of water fall into glass cup and now I’m trying to make a box fall into a pool of water. I managed to make the box fall into water ok but the thing is I can’t see the box sink to the bottom because of the fluid box. Is there anyway I can get rid of the fluid box or make it totally transparent so I can see the box sink to the bottom? I’ve tried setting the materials to the water settings from the “water-in-cup” tutorial back on Blender.org but I still can’t see the sinking box, any tips?

Thanks

If you’re referring to being able to see through the fluid in the 3D view, go to the Object buttons [F7], and on the Draw panel enable ‘Transp’ under ‘Draw Extra’.

Use the material in this blend file and you should be set!

http://www.blender-materials.org/index.php?action=view&material=296-clean-water

Download the blend file to somewhere you can find again
in blender use shift +F1 to append your file and browse to the blend file you just DL and select “materials” and then “woda” Is what it is called - it should be the only material in the scene
