i’m trying to create an account, and i’ve heard that i could just use my GMail account and sign in. so i started, and then it asks me if I want to add YouTube to my Gmail account… it asks me to choose a YouTube username and password.
does this mean it will use the data from my Gmail to create the account? i just want to confirm because i don’t want to create accounts the wrong way, or create any by mistake
You can login to YouTube using your Gmail’s user name and password. YouTube is owned by Google.
I can’t remember if YouTube creates separate account (only with Gmail’s password) but if I login with gmail’s user name and password, I see different user name on YouTube’s page.
well, from what i understand, it uses the data from the Gmail account for the YouTube account, and all you have to supply is a YT username and password… i might be mistaken though
oh, i’m mistaken. i hadn’t read it correctly, it says “Do you already have a YouTube account?”
so, i have to enter everything…shoot
one of my “problems” (it’s not really a problem, it’s safe not to create accounts everywhere, it’s just that it’s a bit of a pain sometimes…) is that i’m very hesitant about creating accounts anywhere. like here, for example. i spent roughly 3-4 months hesitating to join, lol
i’m glad i did though
If you have a gmail you click login on youtube and use your gmail account info! It will then have you set up your profile. from then on when your logged into gmail you just click sign in on youtube and it signs you in without asking anything!
I would stick with YouTube. Many more users to help you with your problems and people will complement your videos like BA… although be careful of non-Blender users : ). Once you get past the apperently confusing registration, you just might want to upload videos even un-related to Blender : ).
that waiting time is vimeo(or any online video service) recompressing and scanning for viruses, not in that order…they cannot expect everyone in the world to have the same codecs…so they convert all video’s to the same codec.
