Can someone tell me how to do a perfect ring of chain links?
Have you used the chain addon? Great place to start.
So there’s a chain addon. Guess I’ll have to search for it. Thanks.
Using number of modifier you can make a ring of chains from scratch. Here is my quick try:
( A ) Create circular mesh. Stretch and roll the ends to make rough ring.
( B ) Add Solidify modifier to give it thickness. And add Subsurf modifier to round it off. Use Array to give straight sequence of chain.
( C ) You can bend the array by using Curve modifier.
