is it possible to make a smooth transition between the materials? as used terrane.
so that you can then export it in the Unity or UE maintaining a smooth transition between the materials?

nodes not import in the unity

You could use a transition texture on the polygons which border the different texture areas, perhaps?

there’s a simple method in my signature, using nodes. once set up the texture can be baked to an image file using texture baking.
