Well, I finally decided to give the cel-shading a break, and render something with a more traditional look. Here we have some rising rock star, preparing himself to sing. Instead of being in a fancy studio, he chose to practice in his basement, where he can be relaxed.
This work is still incomplete, and I’d appreciatte any suggestions on what to add/alter.
I think the primary colors are too intense, and also the pattern on the shirt draws the eye too much. You will want to turn it down a notch, unless you want it to be the central focus of your composition.
Well, I toned down the primary colors, changed the lamp, and added/altered quite a few textures. Now, all I have left to do is add a thing or 2 to the room, then add some proper lighting.
However, I found a problem with the TV screen. How can I make it give off light?
I ended up aplying Toon shading, and made some changes here and there. I’m also using this as part of a portfolio for a scholarship, so I’d really appreciatte as much C&C as possible…
well i like the anime poster, i like the NOFX poster. i’m just not sure about the offspring poster.
i mean, are they realy still a punk band? smash was ok, but since then it just went downhill.
oh wait … perhaps not the thing you where asking about
the table could use some work. the texture on it isn’t right.
i also don’t like the wig thing with the monkey hanging from a spike.
i’m not sure how to explain, but it looks too basic for this scene.
i totaly dig the shirt she’s wearing, and also her hair looks kinda cool.
for the rest the scene looks a bit messy, and i’m unable to determine what’s going on.
she seems to be looking tv while standing like she is leading a orchistra
perhaps you should modle some kind of sofa where she lying on while watching tv.
While I’d like to have a nice Offspring talk with you, this ain’t the right forum (really, I’d like to! ).
I noticed the table problem as soon as you mentioned it. I’m thinking of assigning the texture to each side separately.
The stick figure isn’t even touching the “wig” thingie. Does that count as an optical illusion?
He’s a guy…but you’re not the first person to call him a girl. sigh And the way I made him his limbs change size when animating. Looks like I’ll have to re-do him!
