a thought regarding gameblenders animated UV texture format

It occured to me that a software called game maker which some of you may be familiar with, which is tile based, could be used to make a program that assembles image sequences into blenders weird image strip format. it would require some minor coding in GM language, so, not being a coder of any sort, I will probably not do this. But someone who is more savy in the ways of scripting may wish to try.
