A tutorial for Cartoon-style Modeling

Is there a tutorial available that shows the steps involved to create a toon-like mesh like “The simpsons” or Family Guy" characters? I understand the lighting and render settings, but my models could use help.

Basically, I’m looking for the best way to go about creating a pic like this.

I’m not sure if I should try nubs or cubes, If i should use catmull clark or if i should start with spheres. I’d like to create a few characters in the same style.

Hi moxy2500,

Here’s a tutorial that might give you some ideas:

thank you both so much! I really appreciate this!

Another question. I notice most face modeling tutorials suggest dividing the mesh in half and mirroring it, but these tutes do not. Does anyone find one method better than the other.
