A way to do the fx like in the Predator

i havent seen the movie, im afraid youre going to have to give me more detail. please excuse my ignorance

Maybe a sequence plugin could do the trick?

I presume he’s talking about the effects in the movie Predator where the predator character sees in infra-red.

Another thing would be to use heaps of motion blur with a very high blur factor along with a sequence plugin blur on top. That should give that flowing, undefined kind of effect. You could use Blend textures for the materials (perhaps mapped to Nor) to create the different colours.

Another cool effect from the Preditor movies, is when the preditor is in “stealth mode” and appears semi-transparent and warping the background within the area we see his body.
You can use the warp plugin, its very easy to do, i did this to one of my characters quite a while back.
