a way to hide all particles?

hi, i was wondering if there is a way to completly hide all particles (but keep the patghs, and the emits visible) i found that my comp slows down dramatically when i work wil all my particles visible!

so is there a way? to have teh particles on one layer and teh emiter on another ?

i would really appreciate any help

Reduce Disp in your particle settings (it represents the percentage of particles that will be displayed while editing).
