Aarrgh! Can't Run Panda 3D

I just downloaded and installed all 30MB of Panda3D 1.0.5 the other day, and I can’t get it to run. I have it on a 700Mhz laptop with 198 MB of RAM(yeah, sucky HP one) that has Win XP along along with an ATI videocard.

I have my filepaths that came with the Windows Installer. But, I have tried and tried to get it open the ppython filename.py file with no success. It only says something like ‘python cannot open file’. Oh, and I also have Python 2.2 installed as well.

Could someone please help me? I desperately want to get it running so I can start programming games!

doesn’t panda use 2.4?.. [I honestly have no idea, but it doesn’t look like it requires a seperate python install]
