many people think that refelctions with raytracing always look to perfect.
the funny think is that raytracing is very close to the perfection of nature and nature is perfect in many ways. what i found often difficult in th epast is to create the correct geometry with all the small bumbs and dents which make us believe that the reflection is not perfect but it is only the object’s surface itself make it look different.
so i think it is the same with photoreal. when you want photoreal you need the physical correct calculation in light and texture but also the correct geometry and push it to a level where we don not see any
