Dear all,

i don’t know if this thread is the right one, but maybe someone might help. My simple question is: How can i make an abstract wallpaper in aero design like this one below:

Any Ideas? I tried to do it with nurbs curves with an emission shader, but it look awfull. So, if you have any kind of idea, please let me know,

Thanks an Greetings from Germany,

Is there a reason you want to do this in Blender, because it is definitely not the right tool for the job. This was very likely done in a paint program like Photoshop, or, perhaps a little less likely, in a vector program like Inkscape. The possibility that it is 3D graphics is minuscule.

I agree with DruBan, but, if you want to do abstracts in Blender, you need to think about using lights creatively, rather than materials.

Visualize those shapes, especially the background shapes, as a solid wavy wall, lit by a faint blue spotlight. The front more intense shapes might be a semi-transparent material, lit by brighter lights. You can separate the lights by either placing the background far enough away from the foreground lamps and using an orthographic camera, or by using the lamp and material settings to limit some lamps to light up only some materials.

Get to know the compositor, and how to work with nodes. There are a lot of things you can do to combine simple images into more complex images using nodes.
