Abstract animations

I created these 3 abstract animations for a semiotic project in college. The goal was to create complex structures using one simple module that repeats. I went a little bit further and tried to combine the animations with songs and chose this square format because I meant to post on Instagram later.

The last one I rendered using Eevee and it was my first time using the new feature. Blender 2.8 is really promising! :grin:

That is super awesome. Love it. Did you use instances? Does it render fast?

I didn’t use instances, actually, I created the cylindrical shapes manually by duplicating the modules and placing the frames a little bit ahead of the previous ones to create the effect. The render took about 5-10 minutes for each frame, but the last one which I used Eevee rendered really fast.
