abstract Ice fields.

i wanted to do some abstract work.
i wanted a new background.

and this was the result :slight_smile:

basicly just a plane with some cloud/marble shaders heavy on the reflection.
a fake GI around it. (i’m lazy and the sun/hemi din’t look that good)
used shift+w to get the round shape, and used the waves plugin to make it a bit more bumpy. combined with the noise that i alreay used extensivly.
then filled the remaining hole in the middle with a copy of the plane sized down.

interesting. How’d you do the noise in the background? I think this could be even nicer if added some detail/compelxity to ti … like doing it in Gimp/PS with two layers over the background to make scratches & stuff … there must be a 3d way to do this too.
