Access to object x axis angle

I’m trying to write a script that will affect the movement of an object subject to its current rotation but haven’t been able to find a function that will give me the information (x-axis angle) to trigger the change. “getOrientation” sounds like it should but it insists that x-axis is unchanged, yet that is the only one that is affected. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks BeBraw. I didn’t mention (I think) that I’m trying to do this through the game engine. I’m no mathematician and euler maths and radians etc are way out of my league. It seems odd that getting the attitude of an object, in degrees, should be so difficult. There was some discussion a few years back here but nothing more seems to have come from it. Anyway, thanks again. Any clues are greatly appreciated.
