Acess Blender fuctions

I downloaded the Manuial today and I can’t find anything on how to acess the noise command, can anyone point me in the right direction or suggest how I could go about it ?

Its in the righthand column of buttons in the mesh edit section (F9 I think)

I know that, but I want to execute it with a python script.

No wonder scripts are so limited anyways can you keep this in mind for Blender improvement ?

uhm… I think you might have a bit misinterpreted what I said. You can’t call the noise function directly, but it’s very easy to do you own. There’s a script that works like Noise, but with non-planar shapes, so it can wrap the “noise-like function” around a tube, a sphere, …
