Hi,
Blender now has wonderful asset management feature with Pose Library function built around it as well. That certainly increase productivity …
I am wondering if it is possible to create “Action Library” around asset management too ? Or it already exist in some workaround form today?
In action editor you can right click on the name of an action to mark it as asset.
That creates an action asset. However, I didn’t really tested it, I don’t know how it behaves when importing back that action.
I’ve got no doubt it’ll work, but maybe it’s not as integrated as the poselib.
Or I’m not sure it will work as intended if you drop that action on a character.
If you test that it would be awesome to get some feedback on how much it’s production ready !
Thanks @sozap,
It works!! … just that the process appears to works only if you “assign action” under Pose Library menu (appears only in Pose mode) within the asset browser editor.
In this, the action (all related keyframes) assigned follows the original setting.
I suppose it is good enough … using in combination of the NLA editor to arrange set of actions for this to be useful.
