Activating and Deactivating actuator in the same step does not deactivate actuator

Hi, I stumbled across the following strange behaviour. Is this a feature, an artifact or a bug?


cont.activate(actuator)
cont.deactivate(actuator)

does not leave actuator in deactivated state but in activated state. It is as if deactivate was never called.
The actuator is a motion actuator.
