Active face must be quad

how do i fix this?

Pretty self explanatory. You need quad topology.
Either redo it with quad topology or use a different UV unwrap method.

select all faces, F3 this to quads :wink:

looking at your screenshot, it looks a bit like overlapping geometry or something. If tris to quads works, forget about it. If not try merge by distance to remove double/overlapping geometry first.

Why do you have to fix this in the first place ?? I think this is some game asset ? Most game engine only use tris…

If there aren’t any shader issues then there is nothing to fix…

I think they are having trouble unwrapping it…

Did you use Project from View before checking if it already had uv mapping that matched, or is this model your own making and you are just trying to match the available texture there?

But anyway; blender does a good job on a triangualted tire with smart uv project… (even when reseting the UV before…) :

well i’m actually use the tire model from the website which is hum3d

Then it should be already uv aligned, yes?
