Adaptive render

I’m wondering if there is a way to skip rendering areas with nothing in them that will likely just turn into sky or alpha. Kind of like adaptive domain when simulating smoke or fire.

Not at the moment, there have been a lot of inquiries to Brecht about introducing an adaptive sampling system, but to do this while ensuring that there’s no artifacts or excessive noise as a result is by no means trivial and would require a bit of research and work.

I’m not saying that it won’t happen, it’s just that it may not be that simple.
