Add Curve: Extra Objects

Hello, I’m new to CAD and Blender. I started watching one of CG Geek’s tutorials recently (Link below) about making an ice cream and stumbled upon a comment stating that I could use an add-on called Add Curve: Extra Objects to make an accurate curve shape for the cream in the ice cream mesh that is faster and more efficient than the method stated in the video. Could someone explain the method to go about making a curve mesh similar to that of the video as I’m not sure how to do it. Could you also specify the type of curve required along with the required settings (such as radius, height, etc.).

Thank you!

I think a bezier curve will do just fine.

  1. Add the curve.
  2. Go into edit mode.
  3. To make the curve get into shape, you simply select a vert on the curve and change either position or roundness by tilting the line that is coming out of the vert you selected.
  4. To make te curve thicker you select the vert and fiddle with the thickness tool that is located to your left.

In pic above you see the lines coming out of very that when tilted control the curve roundniss
