Add mesh rotated according to view in one step

Is there a shortcut to add say a plane so that it automatically rotates and is facing the current view or camera on creation? I know all the other tools for rotating and aligning, but I’m talking about the initial rotation when you first place a new mesh.

Just after you have done a Add -> Plane, before doing anything else press F6 (or look in the Operator panel, on the bottom of the toolshelf, to the left of the 3D view) and enable “Align to View” , the Plane will be automatically rotated to fit your current view.

That’s a really good way for positioning planes as lightsources in cycles. Thanks.

Also you have a choice in user preference how the object load into Blender one is align to view.

That’s exactly what I was looking for. Thank you.
