add objects with random prop. and track them w. camera

guess it can be done as follow:

  1. place null randomly
  2. add object from another layer
  3. change they properties
  4. track camera to it somehow

how can be done 1(how to change position, scale, etc properties)?
is added object will be in null, so null position changed, it changed too?
