adding a 360 background

Hey

Just a quick question on how I can add a 360 background so that when I am animating, the back will change position as the camera moves. I am currently using the Blender internal aswell.

Cheers

Well… Some make a large Dome and add a sky texture to it… others use a large Cylinder… again with a texture added to it… I often use both these methods… a Dome with a sky texture… with a Cylinder that has say like a city skyline or mountains or forest in on them the Background Cylinder is set such that is in front of the Dome in Camera distance… that is the Cylinder has a smaller Radius than the Dome… you also have to use a texture that has alpha channel and enable the transparency in the material settings for the cylinder…

Also the Background Dome should be set to have no reflection and no specularity … you should also check “Shadless” in shading…
