Hi! On my umpteenth rev of my first mesh model (iron man) and I’ve got the shape to something I’m happy with. Now I’ve saved my model so i can edit it into the various iron man mks. Some have rivets or wider vents or screws etc but all have same basic shape. So can anyone help with putting a recessed screw shape into my mesh? I almost got it with the knife project. With a circle and bevel and extrude inwards. But the subdivision made it protrude the face rather then sit flush for some reason. Should I sub divide before adding the screw? I didn’t want to do any destructive modelling so I can edit whenever I need to. Im a total novice and learning as i go. Any help appreciated J
Use particles! Take a look at this tutorial:
Thanks for this. Im going to have a look later today. I’ve had no Internet for a few days so just wanted to jump online on my phone and say thanks
Ok. So the video helped somewhat. However. It involves snapping a mesh to another mesh. However. This doesn’t help me recess the mesh into the main object. I can design the screw like that. But then the main object face covers the new particle where it indents.
Any ideas?

The vid was very good thanks. However. It concentrates on bolting on objects. So when I try and pull them ‘in’ to the model. The original face covers them
