So I have gen3 in the proper place, but was wondering… how do i install it in blender?
I’m not one to say RTFM to everything, but if you look on http://www.geocities.com/bgen3/ it says the following :-
- Unpack archive into temporary directory.
- Copy gen3.py and gt directory into your Blender scripts location. The scripts location on a standard windows install machine is C:\Program Files\Blender Foundation\Blender.blender\scripts but yours may be different if you chose different options.
Hi all
Have Blendser 2.42 installed
Unziped several python scripts, gen3.py, BWF-0.0.2 py etc and copied them to the .blender/scripts file (Linux) . I made the entries into the Bpymenu data file as per the working examples in that file, but they do not work, I get the Python Script Error.
I checked that the new scripts are the same as the ones already in the folder - ie #!BPY is at the start.
Some of the scripts worked in /blender 2.37 but failed in 2.42.
Why do some work and others not.
Why does <Update Menu> not find the new scripts.
Is there a limit to how many scripts should be in the menu.
What determines where a script should be placed in the menu.
Why cant I have the world and landscape generators in the same menu slot and similarly with the walk generators.
In the bpymenu file what does the 0 (zero) after the .py mean
Thanks in advance
Roger
Thanks Julesd
Yes I did exactly as per instrictoions and it produces the error message as do several other scripts.
I endeavour to folow instructions to the letter however when I get a problem I need help to understand what may be wrong.
thanks anyway
Roger
