Adding an Armature in 2.31a?

I recently downloaded Blender 2.31a and I want to add an armature. I looked at some older tutorials and they showed me this:

But when I go to the Add Toolbox in 2.31a there is no selection for Armature.

What am I missing?

Is there any way to access this from Blender 2.31a?

It will be in the toolbox if you are in Object mode (not Edit Mode).

I’m in Object Mode now and I still can’t seem to bring it up.

Very frustrating!

I don’t have blender in front of me just now…

but try this

start a clean blender

press the space bar

choose armature from the popup
