Just a quick check - there doesn’t seem to be any way to add an NLA track/strip to an object until you’ve either added a keyframe onto it, or selected an animation in the actions editor, correct?
I feel like it might be a helpful/logical feature if when you press Shift+A in the empty space on the left, it adds animation data to the opbject and adds an empty track.
Sure, but if you’re already just in the NLA editor, that involves opening the action editor, adding an action and then pushing it down, as opposed to just Shift+A and adding a track. Seems like that would be quicker.
