I know how to add images as reference, but how do I add a image onto a mesh, literally? For example, I have a cup and I want to put a picture on the cup. Is there are good tutorial on this, or can you explain it? Thanks.
is 100βs of tuts but you point you the right way
you need to uv unwrap your cup (google uv mapping and texturing)
then make textures then apply the textures
depends on which render engine you use cycles or BI cos the methods are a bit different
