Adding more segments to a cylinder

I’ve been modeling a motor bike for use in a game as a mod, and I got carried away with reducing the face count. I was given some advice on how to make it fit in better with the other models already in game, and involves adding more segments to a wheel.

I currently have 16 segments, and I’m after 24, does anyone know how to so this?
I messed around with loop cutting it in 8 places, but it doesn’t feel even any more. This would work if I could find out how to re-space my loops so there was even spacing between them.

Any help would be appreciated, I’ve searched for a while “adding segments to a cylinder” among other things, but have come up empty so far.

Hopefully an image is attached to show what I am required to do.

The loop tools addon has an option to evenly space out vertices and to make an object a circle.
Your image appears to be on a forum that requires logging into so I cannot see what you actually want to do.

Thanks for the reply. I didn’t realise that the thread had successfully posted, so I didn’t check for a reply till now.

To get around what I needed to do I deleted almost everything but one loop. I then used the Spin tool to get a new wheel
