I have an audio file that is 2.43 sec (73 frames). It is placed to begin at frame 81 and play till frame 154; however, the audio is starting about frame 27 of the project and ending at frame 117? However, if I scrub back to frame 117 and play again, the audio will sound for a few more frames and quit again. If I scrub back to that point, the audio will again play for a few frames and quit again, and so forth!
I’ve never had this problem before - help, please!!
Normally, in a situation like this, it would be better to link the audio to the video in a separate program in order to sync it correctly. However, have you considered using a different audio file? When it comes to recording or playing audio, no matter what program you use, using a wav format is king. You can use mp3 files but you will come across issues like you are facing right now. Switch to a wav format file and see if it works any better for you.
Thanks, XeroShadow, for the reply! I’m in the process of -re-rendering a few PNGs on the end, and I’ll also redo the audio to a WAV and try that. Thanks again!
I have took the time to check out the file that was sent to me. And after looking through the file, it was only a minor change that needed to be done. There’s a feature on the time line when a person wants to use sound for animation. Below, there is a option on the far right called Sync Mode. As of right now, the sound is playing earlier than you wanted. When you place it at a certain point on the timeline and you want to see how it turns out, change the Sync Mode from No Sync to AV-sync. Now you can hear the sound, at the point in time, you placed it.
