[Addon] LuxBlend, LuxRender exporter

This past weekend I managed to vastly improve the time it takes to transfer the rendered image from pylux to Blender, when using integrated rendering or for material/texture preview. I’ve also made some test tweaks to the rendering thread’s priority (Windows only), hopefully should make things more responsive on Windows.

Just to give you an idea with a 1920x1080 image, before it would take 6-8 seconds on my machine and use 750MB memory (just for the transfer!!), while now it takes about 1.2 seconds and about 60MB memory.

You can grab the Windows builds here: http://www.luxrender.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=10442

WoW !

ty !

LuxRender 1.3RC2 is now available! http://www.luxrender.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=10535

If anyone has had any issues with material preview crashing in Blender, or rendering of loop subdivided meshes, please download the updated builds. URL is the same, just grab them from the download page.

Sorry for the inconvenience :frowning:

Could/will Lux use the Octane code to fully integrate with Blender ?

I’ve not seen how this integration was done. Could potentially be interesting, but will have to take a closer look before I can judge.

We’re definitely keen on better integration though, such as real-time previews.

Hi,
I´m new to Blender and Luxrender and I already ran into first problems…

Its the 2nd time a scene just stops working.
The exporter stops and nothing happens anymore.

I had the same problem 2 days ago and restarted a scene.
Now, the problem is back after one day with the new scene…

I have no idea what I did wrong, I was playing with the internal/external mode…

Here comes the scene file
