Adobe is sending it's flash 2D Animation software into maintenance mode

I haven’t said it’s “easy” but it’s also not impossible… especially when one is in somekind of dependency. When in general you know how to do things you are does not need to be that obedient to one tool or service alone (or should be).

Also using some calendar, contact manager in some smartphone is fine, but you can use a calendar and contact notes even with pen and paper (yes i know oversimplified; but you can )

…of course that’s part of the plan: addiction. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I mean this not in the worst negative sense but one should be aware of it and this does not help if the “main service provider” or manufactorer stops developing or completely shutsdown some parts of it… ( enshittification ?) :person_shrugging:

Again: users have developed and changed their workflow over the years, sometimes even using other applications and services to “enhance” it, so this is not the end of the world. And also there are some suggestion here one can contemplate.

Also: blender would not have got into some parts of “the industry” if people would have been soo happy with whatever they used before. So this also might be a possibility in some of the 2D area/domain…

That’s also what i meant in the first place about two domains: 3D and 2D but also some other “overlpappings”. Not so much something about iOS/Android when in fact both can interact with each other when using some social media apps or the DiscourseHub to use BlenderArtist… or simply “any” browser and so the ecosystem is almost irrelevant. (But i rarely use BA on the smartphone… can’t test any tips or look at any files on it; i also would not want to type all this on a smartphone nor use any speach recognizing… :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: )

But this might be a bit offtopic now…

It’s about the decision of Adobe and some possible alternatives… :smiley_cat:
…or maybe only to put off some steam and then continue to pay for adobe products
