Since I like modelling spaceship, I often require greebles. So far I’ve seen:
Create subdivided face, use random select, extrude, rinse repeat. Works, but only produces same shaped greebles and lots of extra vertices due to many extrudes
Displacement maps. Can’t use this, my renderer (Octane) doesn’t support displacement materials, yet. Also, displacement uses heavy poly meshes … I’d like to be a bit more efficient (game models, not just images)
Discombobulator script: doesn’t really produce what I’d need
I’ve seen fairly advanced scripts for other programs (maya, 3ds max etc) which seemed fairly cool. I’d like something, that generates more complex greebles of various shapes etc if possible.
