Advanced Shading Tutorials... Recommendations?

Hello everyone. I’ve been watching a lot of tutorials on texturing in Blender but I’m having trouble getting to the next level… most of the information I’m finding is more or less the same basic procedural stuff (gradients, ColorRamps, noise, etc) but I’d like to kick things up a notch or two.

Wanted to ask if anyone knows a good place to get a real education in shading… where do the experts learn how to become experts?

They study math, physics and programming.

We don’t have to study everything in these fields. Just math for computer graphics, physics for materials and programming for graphic languages.

Well if someone can study everything, good for them :v
