Advice for filming a simple demo reel

Hello there

I’d like some quick advice on how to best set up the scene for filming a very low-level, non-professional reel of the animations I so far created in Blender (am actually a programmer). They would be only the character animations, without a surrounding scene so I think there’s no point in actually rendering scene or adding lighting, all I want to display really is the character animation…

Should I simply film the in-editor action in Object/Solid mode? Or is there any extra touch that I could add to make the recording look nicer? Like for instance getting rid of the Blender reference space lines? Though I still think they’re better than the horrible blue background that you get when rendering…

Also I think it’d be really nice to have the character rotate while I film the animation sequence, so as to see different angles, is there a way to make that happen without having to modify the animation keyframes?

Thanks all for any advice!
