I saw this advertisement for a course at Motion Design School using C4D so I tried to recreate part of it in Blender. Here’s the link to the course:

I created the deformations with a lattice and shape keys for each object. The tricky part was the hose connection that had to deform as well. My solution, which I don’t think was the best was to create vertex groups where I assigned half the hose to each object. If you watch in the middle of the hose you can see the bad artifacts. Any advice in general on the animation so far and especially how to fix the hose issue.
