Advice

i need advice on how to go about making these clothes i have blocked out the shape but i am not sure how to proceed.

I would use sculpting then retopo the result. The layers and clay layers brushes would be good for making the trim. Then there’s the cloth brush.

the picture of the drawing is bad, one side of the gi is overlapping and my question is, do i need to do that for or can it be a whole piece.

refer to the video and make it.

It doesn’t work the same way as the Marvelous Designer, but you can also tailor clothes in the blender.

Please refer to the link below to make clothes for the blender

my end goal is to get it looking nice then apply the sims and all the then rig it

If you remove gravity, you can shape it without falling down.
Shape is created and holds the shape.
Then use gravity and animate.

You’ll need a little trick to shape your clothes.
The clothes are open without sewing on either side.

Maybe we could add some temporary sewing to give it a shape.
This is an idea and I haven’t tested it.

Add…

Simulation Test sffa.blend (4.1 MB)

  1. Making a stitch to fix the clothes
  2. Fixed clothes
  3. Simulation for waist sizing

Gravity is kept the same.

You can check the attached file.

Creating the shape of clothes and using clothes in animation are not the same process.

This is a method for making clothes.

i am wondering if you have any advice on how to rig his mouth

I don’t know.
You can easily find tutorials on rigging, but they may not be the right advice for your character.
Ask other people for their opinions.

You can check various rigging information in the link below.
See if you have any helpful information. (Video)

You have already modeled a mouth position and it will be difficult to add bones to control that. Usually, you would model the mouth as a straight line, horizontally, and then add your bones.

It would be far better to model that straight and then create Shapekeys to get the lower frown or a smile, etc.

thank you, i’ll give it a shot
