BF_almanac_D.dds (1.0 MB)
It does not open on blender 3.6, blender 4.0 and later versions. ![]()
Try using that Addon. It works fine.
was dds support removed?
It was never officially there as far as I know. See Supported Graphics Formats in the docs(that’s for 4.2, but documentation for previous versions is pretty much the same as well).
This suggests reading some types of dds images is possible. They can use different types of compression as far as I understand though.
No, I use it all the time, just in a different format…this one is a bit strange, as some of the diffuse ( Black) is saved in the alpha channel ( but not as a roughness or alpha Mask, but the Black parts of the diffuse color…looks really washed out if not added into the color…
To get it to show up in the browser I had to re-save the DDS file in a newer format from the Gimp DDS plug-in…you could do the same thing using Noesis.
It doesn’t seem to have been officially supported.
I think it’s one of the support files I’ve been using since before blender 2.79.
I guess this is changed in blendr 3.6 and is no longer supported. ![]()
I can’t find a proper answer to this problem.
