airplane crash site, i have a few questions.

im making a tower defense game and when the player kills a plane it falls to the ground and blows up, and this is all nice but how could i make it so that debris(i broken plane frame) would appear at the spot that the plane crashed. and the crashed plane would need to be aligned to the ground, i hope you understood what i need. i basicly need a bullet hole script but i havent been able to find one that works. im using blender2.49b any help is greatly appreciated

After crash a ray along -Z provides you with the necessary information.
