The guys are the same of Open Shading Language, and seems you can soon forget about 3DS, PLY, OBJ, Collada, or whatever you want once we have a plugin for Alembic.

hehe :smiley: it’s cool that another one has gotten their eyes open for alembic.
it will be an awesome interchange platform for blender and other 3d software.
