this is a quick project I done this week.
This is an Alethiometer (probably one of my favorite fictional item).
Most of texture comes from texture.com. I did everything else.
The hardest part was to have interesting light on the mechanism of the item while keeping interesting and realistic reflet.
I’m not 100% happy with the result, but I have no better idea to improve the picture.

The main object is very nicely made, it conveys a very vivid feel of its complexity and the materials that constitute it. The floor, however, is very dark. It would be good to make it much more ‘touchable’.
