Seems like they’ll still need a bit more juice before getting into real-time photorealistic games, but still it’s amazing technology.
Too bad it may require a lot of work to get Blender’s raytracer to use Cuda and then there’s the issue of getting the same thing to work with ATI users.
I’m crossing my fingers for a decent(or better) execution of GrandCentral in OSX 10.6. Shuffling off CPU processes/threads to the GPU seamlessly without(much) extra work needed by DEVS should prove to be useful in 3d/audio/etc.
Its like CUDA, but implemented for any process in the OS(especially intensive ones)
