Alien head

How you like my alien head?

…if you’re intending to put this into a game, it looks interesting already… and scary. nevertheless it still needs some fine tuning…

I did not save the blendfile. I would have to make another one.It was done in the spur of the moment. You could come up with a name for it if you like.

Here is another head i made with the sculpt tool.I used f rotate brush to make better chin.
maybe could help someone to make a better chin.

You know you can recover lost saves with the autosave feature?

I did not save it all.

Yeah, that’s what I’m talking about, click file >> load auto save or smthng, then find the file
Btw what I think about your project:
It looks like you wanted to make a human face, then you failed and renamed them alien heads, this introduced a few problems though
For a human head it’s crude, the second one is still a cube with a front, and the first one has weird features, especially the lips
For an alien creature it’s not creative enough, if you look around BA, an alien creature rarely resembles a human, even then only in some weird way
Look at “disgusting creature” in the featured section, it certainly has a human head… On hie head
Try mixing your creativity even more into what you’re creating, make weird things
Second thing, don’t just create something in an hour, call it done and never open it again, both of your aliens have diffuse colors without a texture, and the first one is very poorly lit
My rule of thumb is, that show it off to someone, ask yoir brother what he thinks, or your mother, or if you’re in school, show it to your art teacher, because it is indeed art what you’re creating, and the, would give you an outside opinion on what should be improved, even better if you talk to someone who normally doesn’t praise you, that way you know it will be honest, and you’ll have a goal of amazing someone
As I looked trough your earlier projects, I think your problem is patience, you want to create 1000 models, but making 10 models 100x better would be way more useful
I hope my article of a critique didn’t feel like I was just trying to demotivate you, I didn’t intend it to be that way, I was yojust giving my honest opinion

That is okay.I will get better with practice.

Here a better side of the new head.

Here is another head.I think i did not get the size correct.

Okay, this was enough for me, seems like you didn’t read my last comment properly, so I’ll write this one too
So I told you, that you don’t take your time actually making your models better, so you gave it another 5-10 minutes and now you’re making another one
I went back to your oldest threads here, and seems like you’re repeating the same patterns:

  • You make something in 20 minutes (and I was very generous right there)
  • You go ahead and create a NEW thread, showing off your creation
  • Someone says something you don’t like (details below)
  • You get offended because you didn’t want an honest critique
  • You either say something stupid, or you simply ignore the message and create something new

Notice how I’ve never said you improve upon your model?
So let’s see some example threads you created in the past:

Weird container:
Your first thread here, green background and green thing almost completely in the shadow
TidyPachiderm said something, so you moved onto your next project

Alien Robots:
For some reason this came after “Lamps”, but it’s worse
TidyPachiderm gave you an advice, you replied with a passive aggressive sentence, then some other guys replied, so you left that project

Videogame spaceship:
You posted another thread, someone said you shouldn’t post everything you make, you told them that it was for a game, they told you, you should make it better, and you said:
“But that is probably what they said about minecraft.”
For comparison, this is what they said about minecraft when it first arrived (as a playable demo!):

My robot with a gun:
This one started out as a nice thread, then they told you your mistakes, like the bad joint angles, and you told them to get references for you. They didn’t, you stopped.

Kangaroohumanbird:
From this point on you stopped giving models actual textures, which is not a problem, don’t misunderstand me, but if they don’t have textures, at least use that time to improve the model
Of course you stopped after a few comments

At this point you stopped for a while, then you continued with a lot of weird things mostly made using the boolean modifier
Mostly you didn’t get feedback, except for “Strange table with lamp in room”, where after the comment you stopped

And now you made the alien heads, this is an improvement, because you at least post these models in the same thread

So I have a few questions for you:

  • Why do you name everything with “strange”?
  • Why don’t you take your time improving your models?
  • How old are you?
  • Why are you posting things that aren’t even done, doesn’t have textures and you probably spent 20 mins max on them?

You said you’ll get better with practice, but practice isn’t what you’re doing, you’re just creating things for 20 minutes, stop, then call it done
I would recommend that you go check out Road to sculpting, that is what practice is

Links to post I used:

Disclaimer:
I didn’t make this post, so you skip over it, you get offended or you stop, I made this post, so that you go ahead and learn from your mistakes
This post wasn’t as nice as my previous one, but strictly because you ignored what I said, I’m not a bad person, but I don’t like writing down long and detailed posts, just so you can completely ignore what I said

Why do you name everything with “strange”?
I like strange names.I like sciencefiction shows.
Why don’t you take your time improving your models?I have not learned how to improve them.I need better techniques.
How old are you?I am 44.
Why are you posting things that aren’t even done, doesn’t have textures and you probably spent 20 mins max on them?I am having fun doing it.And it is not a chore.

If you have fun doing it, keep on doing it.
I just give you the tip to go through some tutorials first, it will help you to learn the techniques to create the things you really want to create.
