This is my first creation of a landscape and a living being.
The idea came in a contest in Blender-PT.
Be honest in the comments and do not be afraid to make very pointed comments. :o
If the surface is meant to be covered by liquid i think it needs work, similar if it meant to be mist. Also think the trees with no branches need a bit of work to look more realistic. Also it may help the overall scene if you make the sky more alien looking than earth like.
I like the creatures that look as though they are feeding, but not sure the texture you used works in this instance as it makes them look rock like instead of animal. Maybe thats intended though as a form of camoflage against predators.
Interesting concept and image that i think could be very good with a little more work.
Hope it helps.

Just a thought. Try the image with the tree in the centre removed.
The project concept is as follows:
This is a dry lake bed where there are towers of anthills. The fog creates the shore where small plants do not develop. But the limit is ideal for them to grow. The quadrupeds creatures have shape, texture and color to camouflage themselves in the environment. Their food consists of the small plants growing at the base of the anthills and the ants themselves. The sky is like the earth sky because the atmosphere have approximately the same components.
It was my intention does not describe the concept in the first post to know what people think of this project.
This project was a “major” constraint. It was only required to use Blender. All images have to be created in Blender.
Charlie D - Thank you for your comments. I’ll think of some of your suggestions. And then post the final result.
The fog looks like water, and it should be something like smoke…
I suggest trying the cloud generator plugin
FreeMind - Thank you for the suggestion. I’ll see if I can make a convincing fog with this add-on. : D
Way better
Yep!! It’s better.
I want to thank everyone for the comments and tips.
And so this project is completed.
Last image is much better…even without considering the amount of constraints it’s pretty neat
I just love alien landscapes - and actual aliens - I have seen quite enough painted blue “rubber forehead” humanoids. In any given universe I can accept a couple of these, but to make 90+% of the aliens look like a slightly modified human gets old fast.
I would suggest smoothing out and enlarging the joints/connections of the limbs and proboscis to the body, (they do look a little thin) and perhaps making the skin texture a descent amount larger, but somewhat smoother. It looks a bit to rough and repetitive
Many thanks for your comments.
At this point I consider this project finished. For the next I’ll have more attention to these points (joins and textures).
Thanks for the advice.
